Yesterday at the fair I visited an calligrapher artist who showed me how to make calligraphy pens/brushes from: A palmetto stem, a twig, a plastic PVC tube, a square felt sponge attached to a small stick, a bamboo stem inserted with an aluminum can cut-out ink resevoir, and an aluminum tip also cut out of a recycled can! They all worked surprisingly well.
Future projects for us...!
