One of our members, Nina Cordova, has been teaching natural materials art to children in the ACE arts program at American Legion Post 194 since October 24.The children are aged 5-12.
In the first two classes she shared gluing beans, shells and leaves, cedar twigs and grasses onto a mat board background to make faces or landscapes.
The next class was working in recycled paper torn to bits to make color mosaic pumpkins for Halloween, recycled cloth rag ghosts, and paper skeletons.
The fourth class is clay sea turtles.
And the last class, November 21 it is to be hand-made paper with leaves, flowers and shells embedded within it.
