2nd Annual Sea Turtle Festival April 26, 2008Hello everyone,The St. Johns County 2nd Annual Sea Turtle Festival is scheduled for April 26th, 2008 at the same location as last year, St John's County Beach Public Ocean Pier. Last year's festival was quaint and exciting with a lot of valuable information to offer to our community. To make for even more fun this upcoming year we will be teaming up with our Annual Turtle Town Cleanup folks. In case you are not aware of what Turtle Town Clean up its an annual event put on by our Waste Disposal department. This year it is April 26th, the same day. The idea is to get our beaches clean and ready for our nesting turtles. In addition, a Festival Committee is currently being structured to aid in the organization and creativity of the festival. We intend on having live music, food and marine related gift vendors, education booths, a children’s area, and a sand castle building contest. If you would like to return and be a part of this year’s festival please let me know. I look forward to hearing from all of you.
