Fish Island PZB Meeting Continues Monday April 16thFor those of you that attended the Monday April 9th Planning and Zoning Board meeting you will know that the meeting was recessed and will continue this Monday evening, April 16th, at 5pm in the Alcazar Room.
The applicant took 4 and 1/2 hours to present their project, which left just 35 short minutes for those gathered to voice their opposition to the development. The PZ board know they must allot time for the expert witnesses regarding the project and open the meeting to public comment.
If you are moved about this issue, you are being asked to attend the meeting one more time so that your voice and opinions can be heard.
The testimony of the attorney for the opposition to this development was given briefly last Monday night. Paul Johnson Friends of the Matanzas from Tallahassee, an excellent biologist and environmentalist, gave outstanding testimony as well.. There will be at least 6-8 more expert witnesses, public comment, applicants questioned by the board and applicants summation,
Hopefully this will not be another meeting adjourned at 10:30pm, but please prepare to hang tough if you can.
