The Southern Anastasia Community Association (SACA) will sponsor a public Forum on Environmentally Sensitive Overlay Zones on Saturday, May 5th, from 9-11 AM. The forum will be held in the auditorium of the new Center For Marine Sciences at the Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience.

Environmentally sensitive lands are areas of land or water whch are determined to be necessary, by local government, to preserve or protect natural habitats and ecological systems. The environmentally sensitive lands code will be revised this year as part of the greater revision of the St. Johns County land use code. In an editorial from September 22, 2006, the St. Augustine Record indicated the need for public forums on this imprtant issue.

A brief outline of the program follows:

Forum on Environmentally Sensitive Overlay Zones

A thirty minute question and answer period will follow
