Alternative Fuels
Making biodiesel is new to St. Augustine, but others around the world have been making and using biodiesel in their vehicles for many years. The Beach Biofuel Cooperative offers you the opportunity to see how it is done, participate in the process, and use the fuel yourself. Find out how by sending an inquiry to beachbiofuel@msn.com .
This vast subject is covered by many different sources, but by way of introduction here are a few approachable organizations with different scopes. Biodiesel is just one of many alternative ways to fuel transportation (and it happens to be a really nice one).
A good down-to-earth introduction to simple alternative fuels can be found at: Greentrust biofuels site.

This site has more of a focus on veggie oil and biodiesel: VeggieAvenger!

This is a corporate site that gives you a peak into what the big industries are doing now. Big corporations and government agencies often adopt alternative energy equipment long before the general public: Technology-distribution drive co.
